Co-founder and CEO of Eastern Bell Capital

Li Yan founded Eastern Bell Capital in 2010, and has since grown the company to manage over $4.1 billion in capital. The diverse portfolio covers multiple sectors including supply chain innovation, logistics & transportation, retail & brands, industrial technology, and corporate services, with over 30 ventures becoming industry unicorns. His investments include Full Truck Alliance, XPENG Motors, Huolala, Yiheda, M&G Stationary, XingSheng YouXuan, ZKH, G7, Zongteng Group, JD Logistics, China Southern Airlines Logistics, J@LC and Titan Science & Technology.

 

Eastern Bell Capital has been recognized with the "Ten-Year Achievement Award for Venture Capital and Private Equity Investment Institutions" from China Venture, and is ranked within the TOP 25 Global Venture Capital Institutions by VCJ. Li is regularly listed among Fortune magazine's "30 Most Influential Investors in China".

Mr. Mei Zhiming is the co-founder and managing partner of Eastern Bell Capital. He also serves as the co-founder and CEO of GLP (Global Logistic Properties). Under his leadership, GLP has driven transformative development in the modern logistics industry. GLP is a global industry service and investment management company that specializes in new infrastructure focused on supply chain, big data, and new energy. The company's assets under management exceed US$120bn.


In addition to his roles at Eastern Bell Capital and GLP, Mr. Mei also holds directorship positions in several listed and private companies, including China Merchants Capital and Li & Fung Group. 


He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Kellogg HKUST, and a bachelor's degree in finance from the Business School of Indiana University.

Mr. Yin Junping leads investments in the logistics, IT services, and new energy/new transportation sectors. His successful investment projects include Zongteng Group, Lalamove, China Southern Cargo, Zhonggu Logistics, SS Logistics, Tec-Do, ZData, Wanshifu, Nucarf, Itimotor, EP Equipment, and Daqin New Energy.


Prior to joining Eastern Bell Capital, he served as the General Manager of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at a well-known domestic investment bank.


He holds a bachelor’s degree from Beijing University of Science and Technology, an MBA from Tsinghua University, and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School.

Daniel Sun joined Eastern Bell Capital in 2013 and leads investments in the consumer sector. His successful investment projects include Xiaopeng Motors, Bananain, Yipin Fresh, Aikucun, Usmile, and Harmay.


Before joining Eastern Bell, Mr. Sun worked for Capital Today and Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MBA from Fudan University and a bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University.

Yingchun leads investments in the supply chain and industrial technology fields, with successful projects such as Yiheda, J@LC, ZKH, Titan Technology, LEHE, Ruigu Shop, Zhenyun Technology, Tong Yuan Software Control, among others. He has previously worked in the Investment Banking Division of Shenyin & Wanguo Securities and ICEA. Yingchun holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Fudan University.

Ms. Gu joined Eastern Bell Capital in 2013 in the consumer sector. Her successful investments include HARMAY, Govee, and Bananain.


Prior to joining Eastern Bell Capital, she worked at GGV Capital. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Sydney.
